Labor Day Weekend in Port Jefferson
The LISCA Olympics and Lobster's On the Beach!

Port Jefferson, NY September 5-6-7

Lobster Bake Update

Sunday, September 6 is our annual Lobsters-on-the-beach at Port Jefferson.

You must make your reservation by sending your check in advance. This event is for LISCA members and people traveling on their boats.

The day begins at 1:00 pm with the
Olympics
.

Please plan to
come to the beach to help out and enjoy the fun. At 4:00 pm, all Lobster-lovers and non-lobster-lovers will gather on the beach. Please bring tables, chairs, blankets, drinks, and two of the following items: hors d’ oeuvres, salad or dessert to share. If you do not eat lobster and want a main course, you must bring this for yourself as well.

Please send your checks to Bonnie Zipeto, P.O. Box 65 Weston, VT 05161. The cost is $20 for each lobster-eater; Adults
who do not eat lobster are $5; and children who do not eat lobster are free, but mention them in your order to help forplanning corn and the
Olympics.

This is a great event with wonderful food. In the event of a major weather event, the checks are destroyed. Last few
years, the weather could not have been better. See you on the beach!

Olympics Update

Based on the overwhelming success of
the LISCA
Olympics
at last year’s Labor Day Lobster Bake, we will be having a second annual Olympics. Both the adults and kids had a terrific time.

We had so many adults interested in competing last year, that we have added a horse shoe competition for the adults.

We could use a chairperson to set up the events and act as a general organizer. Last year, we had quite a few adult volunteers to run each event. The events were all happening at once and participants could move from activity to activity.  The
Olympic
games did not last more than an hour. Children come with their parents and work in twos.

The event organizer needs to purchase prizes (candy bars for all children) and print up an events sheet. Lastly, the scores need to be tallied for the grand winners. This is not a big job, but a fun job. Please call me if you can organize this event.
