  • Rendezvous - We will have some type of Rendezvous on August 9, 10, 11. Activities could include: raft-up or anchor at Oyster Bay for a cocktail party, obtain tickets to tour Sagamore Hill and get together at the beer garden near the mooring field . There is good anchorage area east of the tanks or reserve moorings or docks at Sagamore Yacht Club. .

  • Labor Day weekend - Lobsters on the Beach & a Concert. Tom will research and report at the April meeting.

Since there is an outdoor concert at the Lighthouse in Huntington Harbor on Saturday of the Labor Day Weekend, Tom is trying to determine if we can plan Lobsters on the Beach at Asheroken or nearby. If we can’t, perhaps those who wish to can plan to attend the concert Saturday and sail to PJ Sunday morning to have Lobsters at PJ late in the day.

There are moorings available in Northport if you choose not to anchor. Tom will report back to the membership.

NOTES: Best fireworks on July 4th are at Manursing Island, Rye. Playland, also in Rye, offers fireworks every Friday night during the summer.

Peter Luciano suggested we consider a weekend at Centerport in the fall over Columbus Day Weekend. There is a low-pressure race and dinner at the club for $80.

We hope to finalize many of our plans at the April Meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
