This is a Bring You Own Food and Drinks Event.
The anchorage area off the beach has excellent holding, you will need a dingy to get to the beach. Some people attending will have dinghies, if you let us know you need a dingy ride to the beach, we will be happy to accommodate. Please give us notice prior to the event if you need a ride to the beach.
West Harbor is a well-protected harbor and a nice spot to anchor overnight if you wish.
After head over to the Carnival for rides, games and treats.
Sunday: Come join Tony on Mystical Paradise for late breakfast before heading homeward.
Notes
The St. Gertrude Church's Carnival is located in the Beach parking lot and the Carnival Dates are 06/06-06/9.
Please bring folding chairs for you and your guests and a small table is advisable.
The beach is easily accessed by paddle boards as well.

Host Tony and Barbara P. of Mystical Paradise will be hosting a raft-up alongside their boat moored in Lloyd Harbor for the 17th Annual Huntington Lighthouse Musica Festical. They plan to be available from 0900 to 2000 that day.

Long-time member Captain Aaron Hilliard is again welcoming us aboard the NYC cruise ship he works on for a trip on the East River and along Liberty Island.
Here are the details shared with us by Capt. Hilliard.
When: August 19th, 2023 12 PM-2 PM (Boarding starts at 11 AM.
Where: We will be getting underway from Pier 61, Chelsea Piers, West 23rd St. and 12th Ave, (111 11th Ave, New York, NY 10011). Boarding starts at 11 AM.
Details: We will be onboard the Spirit of New York, a 150ft, 4 deck ship enjoying a Lunch Cruise, sailing the waters of the East River (Brooklyn Bridge/South Street Seaport area), and of course Liberty Island (Statue of Liberty). Lunch will be served with amazing views, good company with your other shipmates, and Kristen and I as your host.
Cost: After working with the Sales Division in the front office, we were able to reduce the ticket price to $75 per person. Parking is still one of the biggest inconveniences of visiting NYC. With that, parking is available at Chelsea Piers but it's VERY expensive. The advice we give passengers is to street park, or to use an independent parking garage in the area.
Chelsea Piers allows cars to enter their parking area, pier side, and drop off passengers; as long as you're out within 15 minutes, you're not charged. The off-sight parking I use is Edison Park Fast, 161 10th Ave, at the corner of West 20th St. and 10th Ave. Most of the time, I take the New York Waterway ferry from Port Imperial, Weehawken, to Midtown (near the Intrepid). Then I Uber to Pier 61.

Catalina Yachts is hosting a 2023 East Coast Rendezvous at Block Island. Here are the details from them as of Feb 2nd.
Catalina Owners Rendezvous in Block Island, Rhode Island
Catalina Yachts, in conjunction with Spring Line Yachts, would like to organize a fantastic event in Block Island. Due to the popularity of Block Island and the importance of reserving mooring and dock space, we are reaching out to get an indication of how many of our Catalina owners and dealers are interested in attending this event.
Here is some of what we have in the works:
When: Arrive Tuesday, August 1. Disband Friday, August 4, 2023
Where: Great Salt Pond, Block Island, Rhode Island
We plan to have a full-blown lobster bake and cocktail parties onshore, as well as other kid-friendly events, to make this a memorable time for you and your crew.
The Harbormaster has approved for us to have (2) boats per mooring at the cost of $50 per boat per night. If we reserve early, there is also a chance for a slip at Payne's.
If you can't arrive by sailboat, you can always come by Ferry https://www.goblockisland.com/

Based upon the level of interest we receive from you will help us get a head start on making reservations for this amazing event. Once we have this information, we can also calculate the total cost for the weekend.
